I have a Chrysler 98 Town and Country. I bought it quite recently and found out that when I turn on the AC, the car runs great for about 30 minutes... But after that point, the Gauge reading the Engine temperature indicates that the Engine is being heated up ! (and it happens quite fast too).
Can someone PLEASE help me with figuring how big a problem this is ??
The engine only heats up when the AC is turned on. Otherwise it works great.
Does the engine actualy overheat? Or does it just get a little hotter. The A/C actaully makes the engine work harder because you are engaging another device that runs off the crankshaft. If the engine runs a little hotter that may be normal but I'm not sure. If it is getting considerably hotter, there may be problem with the cooling system.
Hi, your fan should come on as soon as you turn on your AC if not check the fan relay . good luck Slim :screwy:
