'86 Toyota Camry - broken timing belt
Hi! I have an 86 Toyota Camry 4-cylinder which I believe has broken a
timing belt. I've been told that sometimes a broken t-belt won't destroy
the engine. Does anyone know if this would be the case with this engine??
And just as important, can you tell me what alignment marks to use for
proper positioning of the crankshaft and camshaft prior to putting on a new
any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Here is some very good advice.
You don't know if your timing belt is broken or not, but here you are ready to fix it. Well that's a hint that your an idiot. Hint #2 that your an idiot is your possibly going to change out a timing belt and you don't even know what "alignment marks to use". So here is your advice: DO NOT ATTEMPT. :banghead:
