As for the turbulence device I stand on information I posted a while back. The OEM's are working all the time to improve fuel mileage and power output. They also have multi-million dollar budgets. So why don't they use something of this nature. Two words, snake oil.
When people buy induction kits, how does the bellmouth/ram pipe actually help to increase bhp when it’s the same size of the neck that it’s fitted to and it’s behind the actual cone filter?

It's now being said that turbulence is actually a good thing (check out www.ecotekplc.com), which contradicts getting a gas flowed head. People also like the throaty roar that their induction kits make, so baffling the sound would also be a contradiction.
If bellmouths hardly do anything and cone filters are no better than flat cotton filters, then I've got an idea for the perfect homemade induction kit idea
1. Link a cold air feed to the factory air box.
2. Install a cotton air filter.
3. Put a big, gaping hole along the bottom of the air box if you want an induction roar at full throttle.
It wouldn't look pretty but it would save money.
In some cases it reduces turbulence due to the smoother design. Some factory ducting has baffles to reduce noise levels. In any case the power increase is usually minimal. Sometimes you actually see a power decrease, but people think they look cool. Think of PT Barnum.
its also a lot about airflow though. a lot of ferraris eg the enzo has a complicated intake compared to other cars hat actually forces air into the combustion cahmber when moving.
1. The subject snoope was asking about is ducting before the throttle
plate, the intake that you are referring to is after.
2. The only way to "force air into the combustion chamber" is with a turbocharger or supercharger. The intake and exhaust combination along with cam timing can substantially increase the flow if properly designed but not force it.
