93 trooper turns over, but won't start
Hi, I'm new to this forum and car mechanics in general, so if you need more
info than please ask!!
HISTORY: I've got a 1993 Izusu Trooper (3.2L, V6, dual overhead cam) with 313,000km on it. About a month ago it began to have intermittent problems starting - it would not turn over, just make a clicking sound. I replaced the battery because it was old and I hoped it would fix the problem - it didn't. One day last week it finally wouldn't turn over at all - so I took it to a garage and they replaced the starter. That fixed the problem.
Today I drove to work, then out around lunchtime, then going home the car turned over for a fraction of a second then died. When I tried to start again, it would turn over (make the starting sound and shake), but it would not start. I tried to hold the ignition on for about 5-10 seconds, didn't help. I tried holding the ignition on and giving it full gas, still didn't start.
Can anyone tell me where to (and how to) start looking for the problem?
