I am working on a 2000 Corvette which is the base model, not a Z06. The problem that I am havin is that whenever I idle or drive the car, the stock oil pressure gague reads 80 p.s.i ALL THE TIME. I have no clue if it is a oil pressure switch or maybe or other electrical problem.
What does the gauge go up to? If it pegs at 80, and you're constantly on 80, it could be electrical but it's also possible that you could have spun a bearing....best way to find out is to change the oil(assuming you don't find any electrical problems). If you've spun a bearing, there will be tiny metal chips in the oil and the oil filter will be heavier than usual(due to the build up of small metal particles inside the filter). Good luck with it.
I think I'll vote 'highly unlikely'. :ohcrap:
