97' Mercury viper alarm problem!!!

Hi all of the sudden my viper alarm isnt working. My alarm key chain thingy will only unlock and lock the doors. I can make the alarm go off if I want with the key chain thingy but, It wont go off if like you try and break in. The light usually would blink in the car, now the viper alarm doesnt blink it is just a stagnent light. It stays on all the time until I start the engine.

Is there any way I can fix this problem. Or should I bring it to a place who deals with alarms and custom tires and rims. Or could I just bring it to my mechanic. any help will be a lot of help to me thanks.

Well I know with my Camaro you can turn on and off the alarm by opening the door and pushing the unlock/lock button then the trunk button then the unlock/lock button agen. You may not get it on your first try so you may want to give it a few trys.
