1995 Ford Taurus - cooling problems
I have a 95 Ford Taurus GL 4dr Sedan- 110, 000 miles. I just had the
radiator, thermostat, and two belts replaced by the dealership. Driving
home from the dealership the car started to overheat. I put the heat/vent
on to pull the hot air from the engine and that helped some, but it still
ran hot. When the car is in idle (in park, at a light, etc) it shakes - it
never did this before. Any suggestions? * The dealership said the water
pump was fine *
History - the vehicle has had a small leak in the radiator for a couple of
months. I always monitored the coolant and the car ran great. The V Belt
needed to be replaced and I decided to have the radiator replaced as well.
This is the first time I have had to take care of major repairs.
New or used radiator? If used was it flow tested? What temp is the new thermostat? What temp was the old?
