Trans Cooler Connection, 93 Cherokee

Hi,

I've got a 93 Jeep Cherokee that I've owned since new and done a fair amount of work to after the wife cooked the engine last year. Last thing I need to do to complete the project is to replace the radiator.

The last thing holding the radiator in, is the bottom transmission fluid line. The top one has a simple compression nut but the bottom doesn't. There's a 3/8" ridgid line coming out of the radiator and about 3" down it connects up to a flexible rubber hose. The joint swivels and there is a plastic ferrule between the ridgid tube and the coupling.

I've tried to figure out how to get this apart but don't want to force anything so I won't destroy it. Can anyone tell me how these things come apart?

Thanks,
Jim
