I have a G-reg Vauxhall Astra 1.4 with central locking and electric
My battery died today, so I replaced it with a brand new one, advised by Halfords. After fitting the new battery, the car is running ok, but my interior light will not switch off...the light that goes on when you open the door.
I do not know much about electrics but I guess it must be some problem with the sensor (if there is one) on the door? I couldn't find anything, so have had to disconnect the battery to prevent it from running down.
I wonder if anyone has any ideas?
Only one. Make sure the switch is in the "door" position and not the "on" position. Of course this is painfully obvious and probably not the case, so just post back if this is not the problem and I'm sure someone else will help you out.
