Hi all I just bought a honda acccord 1991 lx and I can't figure out where you might refill the transmission fluid. This is my first car and so far I've changed oil filter and found all the other fluids and how to refill them which is good for a total novice like myself but I'm stumped as to how to refill the transmission fluid. Someone help... please
Seems kinda werid/stupid but down the dipstick tube...
Thanks I think... :ohcrap:
yeah, use a funnel and check the level frequentyly as you add.
Just an added comment, most cars need the engine running in park ar neutral
when checking the fluid level. You may already know this, but if you don't
know where to add the oil, you may not. (Not trying to be a smart a--.)
With the engine running, the oil level is sometimes hard to read on the dip stick. Wipe the dip stick off and try it a few times to differentiate between the actual level and the residual oil from the dip stick tube. This may sound simple, but if you are new to this stuff, it can be confusing.
