I have a 1970 Cougar 351 Cl. 4bbl. fmx tranny. the car runs fine in summer after you use a few tricks to get it started. It has a MSD 6A Ign. box that came with the car when I bought it. For the initial start there will be no spark coming to the distributer. If you leave the key in the "on" postion for a few minutes, then try the key again, the car will fire up. I think it is the box. My wife bought me another MSD box, but it is a MSD 6AL. Is there any difference between the two?? or anything I need to know before I switch them out. Thx in advance for any info on this mission. Later Jim
Same unit, just has a rev limiter feature added.
You might find your car is more enjoyable if you tried an electronic dizzy
