Hi I have a 1997 dodge neon with a 2.0L DOHC automatic and when I put the car in reverse the backup lights come on and then go off!!! Can anyone help me with this problem ????? Thanks
You may want to check the sensor that switches these lights on at the shifter. It may be coroded and shorting out when u have it in reverse move the shifter back n forth to c if they flash off n on.
mine did the same thing and it was the switch under the fuse box under the hood
My lights don't come on at all. I found a FUSE under the fusebox in the
engine compartment, but not a switch. I'm going to look for a bad switch
near the shift lever. Any idea where it's located?
how's a picture m/t
Thanks for the picture! I thought it looked familiar--after I saw it I
found the same pic on page 7A-4 of my Haynes Neon Manual--but I have the
automatic transmission, not the manual. According to the electrical diagram
I should be looking for a park/neutral position switch. But I can't find
that one in the automatic transaxle chapter.
you mean this one 7b-5 #7 this is also the back-up lights for a/t
