I've got a 1993 Honda Civic with 215,000 miles on it. Recently, the engine has been quitting at totally random moments. At first it happened once every couple of weeks or so. The last time I drove it the thing quit three times in 15 miles and now I'm afraid to drive it at all. When it quits it does so without any warning whatsoever, no surging or sputtering, it just dies. As soon as I pull over it starts right back up and runs fine untill the next time. I'm stumped. I suspect the main relay but it sounds like that has more to do with hard starting than anything else. Other than this one problem the car runs great. Anybody have any ideas?
