I'm having trouble removing battery terminals. I believe the type of terminal is called single stud?? I'm used to terminals with a screw that you can loosen that allows you to disconnect it from the battery. How do I disconnect these other terminals from the battery?

I will guess your'e refering to top post battery. Just loosen the nut about a 1/4 inch. then take plier or screwdriver to spread the clamp apart. DO THE NEG- TERM 1ST.Don't do a lot of twisting on the clamp if you can't get it loose. Back the nut off a little more and spread.

there is no nut and bolt on this clamp, it's just a completely round clamp.

I have never seen those on a car battery and don't have any idea why one would use them! If thats what you have, the only way I see to remove is with a 2 jaw puller. once i got them off I would absof#####lutely replace them.
