Oil leak please help

Home  \  Repairs & Maintenance  \  Oil leak please help

I have a 1998 Neon R/T. Last summer I had a very small oil leak which I thought I fixed with the replacement of a new PCV valve. But now it's back and I have no clue where it could be. It's a very small leak and it's taken about 2700 miles for all the oil to be completely gone. If you can help me in any way...please do. I know it's not the piston rings becasue I'm not blowing anything out the tailpipe and it's not the head gasket becasue it was replaced not too long ago. Any suggestions???

Jack up your car and look around the oil pan. It might be the oil pan gasket. Check around the valve cover gasket. You might want to add CD2 engine stop leak additive to your engine oil that might stop the leak if it is not from one of the two places I mentioned. Also check around the oil filter too.
You can get CD2 from local walmart, pepboys, kmart and other local stores in the auto section.
