my 2000 ford taurus steering wheel has a catch in it when i turn corners
when i make a right or left turn,my steering wheel catches and is hard to
straighten out..has anyone got a solution...thanks 4 the help..
usually the rack needs replacement
I'm actually interested in purchasing a green 93' SHO. It needs a new clutch but I had the guy start it up for me. I dont know if it has anything to do with it but he had to put a battery in it before doing so and when he did there looked like a little smoke coming from the engine but just a little. after like a second it went away....should i still buy it or stay away from it? (i know it sounds dumb but i know nothing of cars and yes i am female)
Thats like the opposite of mine (I don't have power steering), when I turn the wheel too much around a corner it becomes very very light to steer and almost makes me turn too much
larieaux...if the 93 taurus sho's have a 3.8 in them...and it is smoking a little bit...head gasket.
The 3.8L was always refered to as the GL version of that generation (88-94?).
And if it's only smoking a little bit, then I'm guessing that it's not a head gasket (fluid tends to leak out when it's warmed up, and will continue to leak), but rather something like a owner mis-hap (oil spilled on echaust manifold).
As for the steering problem, I have no idea.
I don't think they're still around to see that
