To someone who is not a fan of the configuration of front wheel drive engine layouts, yeah it seems like its in the corner of the oil pan. Not centered or directly underneath.

No not new to cars at all, but this is the first front wheel drive engine that I have done much more than just minor stuff like replacing alternators and such on for friends or something. I guess my first front wheel drive project rather than just a problem to fix. To me (again not a fan of the configuration of front wheel drive engines) where that oil drain plug is located on this Tempo just makes zero sense. But thanks man....If I run into much more unusual with the Tempo before it is running right enuff I'll get a Haynes. I like them better than Chilton.

Again thanks guys
