Question on timing belt for Integras

Home  \  Repairs & Maintenance  \  Question on timing belt for Integras

I just changed the timing belt and water pump for my 1996 Integra. IT's a standard engine. I notice that at low rpm, the engine is a lot weaker compare to before. It also has a slower response. Does anyone know why? My air filter is old. will a new air filter bring a quicker response? thankx for the response.

My guess would be the t-belt is installed one tooth off, an extremely common problem on these. Everything looks good until it's all buttoned up then... So pull all the covers back off and check your marks, it usually ends up being the intake cam that's off. Good luck.
