which car for around 500-700

I'm after a used car within the following price bracket, the lower the better of course as I'm not exactly bill gates. Insurance would have to be good as well.. and I want something a bit beefier than my last car which I wrote off (r.i.p) - a ford fiesta classic lolz...

I was thinking of something like an Escort 1.6... does anyone have any opinions/advice plz? thx

Well its kinda hard to know what cars go for that amount of money because you have different makes and models of cars there

How about a Peugeot 205 Gti? I've seen some for 400 and they are pretty good cars.

Opel Manta are dirt cheap if you're after a rear wheel drive platform but most for that price are not in good shape.
But don't expect good reliability for that sort of money. Most cheap cars don't take crashes well.

And as for insurance you have already wrote off a car so it'll be quite expensive no matter what car you get.
