Need advice on buying a new car...

I'm looking to buy a 2 seat convertible, and I've test driven many in the 25k to 35k price range. Does anyone have any recommendations on a great convertible to buy in that price range? These are the vehicles I've tested:

Honda S2000 - really liked it, but the
Saturn Sky - looks so much better, but has no trunk (this would be my only car)
Miata MX-5 - nice ride, but friends are giving me grief about it being too small and a chick car
Pontiac Soltisce - nice car, but liked the saturn better
Mustang - Great, but 4 cylinder is more my speed, especially with gas prices heading towards $4
MINI - Not my favorite

I was about ready to buy the Honda, but someone recommended I should look for a used Porsche Boxster in that price range, but Maintenance costs worry me about that car. Anyway, I'm about ready to buy a bus pass. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

tmb.

Brave move, lol......jk

Aren't only three of those in your list two seaters? Anyway, out of those I'd go for the S2000, mainly because the engine never stops screaming amd it's redline is so hight. I guess it all depends on what you want from your car. The issue about boot space shouldn't come in to the equation a great deal, as in this market the punters tend not to want alot of it, and the manufacturers know this so tend not to build cars with lots of it.

I'd be all over a used Lotus Elise if I were in your boots.

Can you get a decent Lotus for $25k? I saw some, but most were older models with tons of miles...but ohh they are purrty cars.
