do you keep the speed limits?

i tell you sth: i cant imagine how you northern americans can talk about driving and owning sports cars while having that shiddy speed limit on every ways, or does that really matter nothing to you and you all drive as fast as you want?

i mean i cant even imagine how u guys can endure it to drive cars that can go more than twice the speed you are allowed to (officially.

perhaps this question sounds a bit nerdish, but i also heard by a friend that someone from Utah or sth asked how many accidents happen in the cities of germany when theres no speed limit and they all drive like 100mph....

so thx&grz to all of US:]

Honestly you get used to it after a while. Around the area I live, the speed limits are around 30-35-40. I almost never go above 50 on any of the roads. My car can do 100 after a little run but it's just not worth it to me to go 100+ on the shitty roads we have here. That and getting a speeding ticket would KILL me. My insurance is already 800+ for 6 months. I barely make that much money after gas at work anyways. It's really starting to piss me off. But I try to stick as close to the laws as I possibly can because I've grown up a lot in my driving since my car accident.

out here in suburbia, the speed limits are fairly generous - most roads have a 40 or 45 mph speed limit. i'll usually go 50, maybe 55 on one road thats pretty much deserted that goes to my house.

it all depends on where you live... like what state... i live in wv... and our regualr out of city limits speed limit is 55 usually around here you ened up with a price between $100 and $200. You can break at a maximum of 5+ without actually getting a ticket. Now Maryland, on the other hand is way lesser like between $50 and $100, all depending on your speed... how much the cops like ya, and states.

yeah our speeding tickets here arent as pricy as other places and a lot of the time worked for me a few if u plead with the cop or make up a good excuse like i need to get home before curfew which is like 12 through 6 in the morning here (the legal limit) then most of the time the cops will let u off...i was with my friend once was like 11:20 and we had to drop of his friends and get home then and friends are like 20 minutes away so he was going over the speed limit obviously like around 20 + and got pulled over told the cop the truth and the cop let him off which was pretty nice all depends if u get a fair cop or one who doesnt feel like being a dick

Here in Cincinnati you get arrested if you go 25mph over the speed limit. I got a ticket for 22mph over the limit and my ticket was $130. As I got older I don't feel the need to speed anymore.

Im adicted to speed. Seriously when im in a car I have to go fast, It just feels good when your back is pressed against the seat from the acceleration.
