I hate them.....

Not really they just piss me off because they are so damn fast, and they always want to race me.

But go for it dude! fastest stock front wheel drive car in america right now.

i really like the car. the americans really pulled off creating a car of such category. chrisv wrote a lot of info on it a few weeks ago about just why its actually quite an awesome car (in details of course).

They are very impressive performance wise... but in the end it's still a Neon and I can never stoop to owning a Neon, no matter how many of the blow me away in traffic.

True, it's a Neon...means poor reliability and low resale value. I would only buy one if brand new. But, its also the best bang for the buck out there seriously, it would smoke a Porsche Boxter for 1/3 of the price.

If you want a fast little car that looks decently good then go for it. Performance-wise you won't regret it. People will fear you and there is a large srt community (full of the usual immature and mature folks). Besides, factory supported mopar upgrades that don't void your warranty! Its an all you want package here.

Yeah, and plus they have the ever-famous 13dollar 20horspower mod! Buy a different spring for your wastegate, gain 20 hp....With the M3, spend $799 on a new cat back, gain 15-18hp.

*sigh*

Like I said I hate those cars.

I love the neon for all the reasons mentioned above. And im a huge mopar fan. But these cars R&D was all about the engine. There more suited for the dragstrip than the road course. The new cobalt ss doesnt look that bad isnt much slower has a softer ride but more handling prowess. Its weird. You notice the srt-4s ride is uneccesarily harsh whenever you start carving corners in the ss. Chevrolet tested it at the Ring so it handles better than you would think it does. Another fun little fwd car is the rsx type-s.

I love the Cobalt SS. I was able to drive one. fun little car. I'd still probably take my old Beretta GTZ over it, just because the styling was so much cooler, but it's long gone. What can ya do?

The new type-s is one of the most fun FWD cars I have ever driven. Handles almost as good as the mini cooper S, and is just so damn sexy.

Im not a fan of the Cobalt SS. I drove one of my relatives, and it just feels like box on wheels. To much play in the steering and it just feels like that poor Ecotec is going to blow up at any second The poor thing sounds so strained

The Neon SRT-4 is a awesome car. Even if it is Mitsubishi engineered I would still take one. Theres nothing wrong with owning a Neon, except that they like to spit oil all over the road. The only time a Neon SRT-4 ISNT cool is when they beat you in a race But then again, what car IS cool as its beating your cars ass? I raced one in my Saturn SL2 but in the end it got me by about a car length.

I really fail to see how a company developed a performance car for straight line... and made it FWD... I don't think even Dodge would try that bit of logic.
