dang

man its almost worth it just to steal this bad boy... there was a story i heard, may or may not be true- guy takes a ferrari f50 on a test drive, when the salesman gets out he drives into the back of an 18 wheeler and is never seen again... for 0-60 in 2.9 for the me412, id almost consider it.

I think a Linginfelter Corvette would definetly be the best grocery-getter. Maybe not for loads it carries (worth jack-shit) but in the speed it takes to get from one place to another. but, if you're looking for a truck version, Linginfelter DID make a Sonoma that does 0-60 in 3.1sec. if my memory serves, the SVT Lightning can suck the Sonoma's balls. we all should know this truck has them. ohh, btw, this will carry much more than the Corvette and still get you there.........VERY FAST!!

twin turbo 4.3L V6's, AWD, ate the vettes of the same year for breakfast lunch and dinner

If memory serves, Syclone was the GMC (available in SUV or P/U form) and Chevy had the Typhoon (also available in SUV or P/U form). But yes, those were very fast cars (trucks) aswell.

you memory serves you partially correct. both were only available as a pickup, not an SUV.

and yes, those things smote 'vettes of the day.

lingenfelter corvette

motor trend ran a special on this bad boy- 0-60 in 1.98 seconds. It even meets admissions standards in texas. Beats Hennessey Venoms and even the F/A-18 it raced in the quarter mile. Ive never seen a cyclone or typhoon, what years were they made?

Off the top of my head 91-93. I'm sure it's just a Yahoo search away.

As for the drag race, it's long been an advertising/marketing ploy to show a car racing a jet. Good press but pointless because aircraft are dreadfully slow, relatively speaking, for the first several hundred feet.

Ya..I could've bought one. 100,000 miles, mint body and the engine ran perfect. only problem was $12,000 firm. Everyone I talked to said it was a steal but I didn't and still don't have $12,000 for a tuck with 100,000miles on it.
