'05 Lincoln Town Car Engine

I'm in need of replacing an engine in a 2005 Lincoln Town Car. Do you know if 2003 Engine will fit?? I checked on automotive.com and there are little differences: for 2005 4.606 cc /91.4 mm bore / 91.4 mm stroke
for 2003 4.601 cc/ 90.2 mm bore / 90.0 mm stroke
I think that engine is the same but, I'm concerned with the electronics. ECU and engine sensors. Will they work properly??

Do you live in an area where the emmissions are checked? Why isn't it under warranty?

Generally, they won't let you swap an older engine in. In order to get everything to pass, it has to be the sme year as the car or newer.
