Mystery Bumper Question

Hi there - we recently purchased a warehouse that had the attached classic bumper in the stock. Has anyone any idea what vehicle it is from?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Brian

What is with the "liverpool stock" title on the picture? Is that an indication of European manufacture?

It looks like late 40's to 50's vintage to me.
