damn skunks

i was driving home tonight and this skunk ran out in front of my car. i hit the brakes and tried to avoid the skun and succesfully did but i ended up hitting the curb and scratching the **** out of my right front wheel. Now i have decided that i am gonna repaint the all the wheels. I am thinking either black or gold. My car is dark green. Anyone have any tips on painting wheels?
i know i will sand first with 320 grit sand paper. then clean the wheel. Then apply 2-3 coats of paint. Then some clear coat dont know how much yet. People have told me to use duplicolor wheel paint. Anyone have anymore suggestions?

That sucks, but at least your car doesn't smell

Not sure about brands, but I think black would look better than gold...Gold's just a bit too flashy IMO, although if you can pull it off, like an Impreza, it does look pretty nice

That's a hard one, because this could turn out like newyorkers (personally I don't really care for black wheels with a dark colour body.... unless the body is also black). What's the worst that could of happened if you just hit the skunk...

you should have hit the skunk haha. Some good colors that I've seen go with dark green are orange, purple, and silver. I don't think black would look good then again I havn't seen them together on a car.

Seriously, whether you and Newyorker want to believe it or not, Silver/Alloy looks awesome on dark green metallic. Black and gold, not so cool.

i never said silver didn't look good on dark green car but i have always liked black wheels. the choices of colors from duplicolor are black, graphite, white, bronze, silver, clear coat. if i find another brand with other colors then i will use it. I would love to have drak green wheels but that paint will be hard to find. I was gonna buy some dark green Rota's but they were too much.
