instead of talkin about it, actually doing something

So i sold my 03 accord and have some plans for this upcoming spring, wasnt gonna talk about it until its done didnt want to sound like newyorker but here it is, me and a buddy of mine decided to get started on some minor things to get the car ready for lil boost,

here is a vid after we took out the engine for port-n-polish and few other things (cell camera sucks)

J30A5

comp seems pretty high. have you considered thicker head gaskets and having you combustion chambers hogged out?

ya i was definitely thinking about thicker gasket to lower compression never thought about chambers hogged out, good idea, thanks!

as far as hp goes, this is my everyday luxury/sport driver, so im not going crazy with it, i do expect to be around 300hp since the once you have seen are 03-05 v6 j30a4 which is a slightly different engine (intake manifold and some other things are different) j30a5 is a special 30th anniversary engine and pushes out a bit more hp, but like i said before i hate estimating whatever i get on my dyno sheet thats what it will be.

ya me too, thats another reason i dont want to push it, im not a big fan of front wheel drive cars, drive them cause they are more practical but going for high hp on fwd car is stupid, since mine is automatic (i was thinking about the stock 6speed swap, maybe but probably not, too much work and speed is not my main priority) so i already found some good stall converters for the track might be interested in those

here are a couple pictures, finally putting it back together, everything looked like new i was pretty impressed, but its probably because it only has 8k on it.

So why did you dissasemble it. Hell while you got it torn down get some forged low comp pistons that are the same weight as stock and throw them in.
