My First car???

What do you guys think about 2002 Hyundai Elantra GLS with 2.0 liter and 5 speed . I would be new to driving in US and I need something that maybe would have cheaper parts. My friend has one comby and automatic.. The one I'm thinking about would be 5 speed manual.. To this I would add air intake , better exhaust air filter and cool wheels... I was thinking of hondas but again this would be my first car.. I don't think I need a lot. What do you think about this idea?

Wouldn't suggest getting a newer car as your first car, you're just going to smash it, something like 96% of new drivers get in an accident within the first year, and from what I've seen, I believe it. Get an older beater

What do you mean by 96% of new drivers get into an accident...It can't be. You must've meant something else?

240's are quite hard to find in good condition for a good price due to their popularity going up with drifting and drag racing
