Out of price Range - Porsche. Flat six engines sporting anywhere from 240hp-472hp and a 5.7L V10 slashing out 605hp. Take THAT 5.7L Chevy

In price range - Honda. Sporty, powerful, lots of high rpm fun, very nice interior, reliability king. Just cant go wrong with a Honda.

Nice selections.

Out of price range - Lamborghini with their powerful V-12s, and Itallian excellence. Especially the 1989 Countach. I dont know what it is, but they just look so damn awesome!!! Also Mercedes. I would like to buy an older one but I love the newer ones. Cant beat German inginuity!

In price range - Ford. All the way. Ive driven almost EVERY car from EVERY American manufactuer there is, and Ford is the only one that even comes close to the reliability and tightness of a European car. YOU KNOW NOTHING SOUNDS BETTER THAN A 5.0L 302 V8!!!! They have the BEST hot rod sound there is!!!!! I also like Mopars and the 3800 V6s from GM.

I like Lambo, a whole bunch. Not really a Benz fan though, I've always been more sport than luxury so naturally I'm a Bimmer fella.

I like the new Mustang, in fact, it's the first Mustang I'd consider buying since the last good looking left in 1973 (IMHO). Although, if we were talking 90s/pre05 I'd go Chevy just because for a long reign the Camaro was a better sports car than the Mustang. Can't say no to the 98-02 305hp LS1 Z/28!

Out of price range: Bugatti Veyron; looks cool, 1001 Hp, W16, can't beat that too easily. Costs about $1.8 Million though.

In price range: Mazda; Especially the rotaries. They look cool, affordable, reliable.

Subaru- they are easy to work on, reliable, and are styled nicely.

This just my opinion, but I'd prefer a STi anyday...but maybe I'm just strange

Mazda, who would ever think that there would be another completely differnt type of engine besides the piston?

The last gen RX-7 is one of the greatest looking cars.

Other than that, my favorite car manufacturer is Fiat.

Who can compete with that?

I never knew that but i guess it can come in handy in situations like this. Or to make bets with people that think they know it all.

Yeah, it's kinda cool to know stuff about cars. To watch these TV commercials advertising changing brake pads for 200 bucks, or oil for 150.

Here's a good site for who owns who;

Volkswagen

as for the thread question:

out of range: Lotus, kit cars that have some of the most amasing (if not THE most amasing) suspensions and performances all around, plus very nice looks and out of the ordinary features.

in range: toyota, they speak for themselves.

Let's qualify it .... who'd have thought there'd be a whole other type of INTERNAL COMBUSTION engine than the piston engine.

Because, when you think about it, google is an "engine", but I don't think it has cylinders.

And by VW, did you just mean air-cooled? Because they still have cylinders.

Subaru for AWD Turbo 4's.

Porsche for their incredible race (and production) cars.

Toyota for their trucks (and some cars).
