I have to say though, the tC looks sharp and is backed by a 160HP engine.

So, my question is, how do they keep a car like that under $15,000 new? It has all the standard stuff plus a little more (ABS, CD Player, full glass roof).

I don't get it. Am I missing something? I don't understand how they keep the price so low?

Someone enlighten me!

They aren't under $15k. But rather $16,500 base.

Scion TC is AWESOME

I would believe what the salesman at the Toyota dealership said, because it doesn't get much better than the TC for the price! I have never seen anything like it for under 17,000... there are a few cars over 25,000 that i would choose the Tc instead!

you know, i might give a damn about scions if they weren't just re-badged toyota's...

what is it about car companies that posesses them to create a bajillion different sub-companies producing basically the same car?

Im not much of a fan of any of the Scion cars, but it seems to be perfect for people like BlueBoyJocks.

To BlueBoyJocks. Regardless of how "perfect" it seems, be sure to look at the competition and make sure that there is nothing that you will regret later. Buying a car can sometimes be a tedious task, and there is a tendency to focus too much on the outcome. Don't fall victim to this tendency, look thoroughly and be a little cynical/critical when assessing any car. Good luck!

Post Need info on the Scion tC

Hi, I was planning on making a move to purchasing the Scion TC, but was held back due to it being the first model out there. Could someone enlighten me with any info on the pros and cons about this car? ... mainly cons.

I think its a great looking car, along with the xA, but the xB Im not to fond of. Toyota is probably my favorite Japanese car maker, next to Mazda.

I think it is a great car. They are made by Toyota so the reliability is good, and Scion has had 2 other cars out for a few years and I havent heard anything bad about those. I would go with it. It looks like a great car.

Since Scion is Toyota built, all of the Scion's are good reliable cars. I would not want to get an xa or xb because they are sooooo slow but the tc got a nice power boost.
