ok, make a fiberglass shell of were you want it. What you are about to see is a huge half ass layer of fiberglass.

I turned that layer into a mold. So here is what I did for the final shell. the one covered in tin foil and tape is the mold.

Every one here knows how to make MDF Sub receesed mount rings right?

Honestly, I've never heard of them...but if it's just metal rings for mounting, then it sounds pretty straightforward...

metal?....MDF is wood....medium density fibreboard, is the actual name, if im not mistaken. Recessed rings allow you to mount the sub flush with the box...rather then having it stick out...

lol, this guy knows what he's talking about. Yes, MDF is Medium density fiberboard. I am useing 56k right now so I will get you some pics friday when I am running at 100k's.

Yea, I got the time, I go to school with no job. Lots of spare time. To bad I can only work on it on the weekends. damn divorced parents

thats awesome, good work dude, im planning on making my own box soon, its gonna be 3 cubes, ported, for a 15" RE SX, me and my friend are gonna freestyle it i guess. lol, but just incase can you show how to make receesed mount rings please.

i always wanted to try fiberglassing but im too afraid i'd blow it and i dunno ruin my interior lol
