1987 Cavalier

My brother has a 87 Cavalier he is working on, Its his friends car and basicly his friend said if its to much work to fix it just junk the car. My brother and I pretty much think it needs a new head gasket. Any one here ever replace a head gasket for a 87 Cavalier? I only replaced a head on a Izuzu Trooper and it was fairly easy. So I am wondering how much work it is to replace the gasket on a Cavalier. Since my brother friend wants to basicly junk the car any way, I'm not looking to spend much time working on it.

1. Yep!

2. Not much. It takes me about 45 minutes.

Thats good to hear, any tips for replacing to head gasket and maybe a small how-to? I would care if it was mine, but I don't want to break anything else heh.

It's as simple an engine as there is to slip a head gasket on to. If you have experience doing this type of work, it's a no brainer. Just don't expect to do it as fast as me.
