Honda Civic LX's or Accord LX's are great for first cars. They are afforable and fairly reliable.

This subject has been addressed many times, but when I bought my first car last year, a 2003 Ford Taurus, I found that American cars were more reasonably priced, don't know if that holds true in Canada. Keep in mind that insurance tends to be less for a sedan than for a coupe. I also feel that if you are looking for a "sporty or luxurious car" you will get less real value than if you were to spend the same amount on a more basic car.

I am not sure if it was corrected in the 2003 Malibus, other people here would know better than i do, but at one time the dexcool used by GM destroyed the head gaskets. If that was still the case in the '03s, it would be good to know/check if the gasket had been replaced/coolant in the oil/valve taps. Maybe some of the mechanics here can correct me if I am wrong.

just for vwhobo- I dont know

Auction Car is your choice.

Why Auction Car so cheap?

Do you know every year, thousands of great bargain opportunities appear and disappear all around without you even knowing it.
There are so many bargains! In fact, the person next to you on the freeway could very well be driving a near new car that cost only $550! Every year thousands of vehicles, are essentially "given away".
Why? Some become the property of Uncle Sam through "seizure and surplus" laws. Because of the constant influx of goods and the overwhelming expense to store them, the government must get rid of them fast.
This could means dirt-cheap prices for you!

BMW M6 2003 Blue start bid $500
Porsche 911 2003 White start bid $2,300
Porsche Cayenne 2003 Sliver start bid $5,100
Ford Mustang 2003 Black start bid $400
Ford Mustang 2004 Black start bid $500
Ford Taurus Wagon 2000 Red start bid $2,300
Ford GT 2003 White start bid $1,500
and more....

findout the unbeliveable price at

Oh...it isn't!

I start at 50 bucks...but with a room full of fatties...I explode to 500 beans. What you know about a bean...bitch. What do any of you know about a bean...bitches.

Older Jaguar, illusion34...before they say this was pointless. Older Jags are cool and cheap.

The auction thing was just a sleezeball spammer.

I'd check out the Taurus SHO. The latest generation had a problem witht the cams I believe, so either stay away from the newer design, get proof from the previous owner that the cams were welded, or try to find a shop that will weld them BEFORE you consider buying one. I haven't heard of any problems with the older ones. Seems to be right up your ally, they are pretty spacious, they've got some punch to them, and they're right in your price range. Maybe a little old for what you're looking for though.

im thinking a smaller more sporty car like an integra or older rx-7, something to that nature?

I seem to recall the majority of your time here revolved around asking pretty much this same question....
