hydraulic oil

I have a car that has been converted to run on veg oil.

I met a person who works in hydraulics.
He said he has a lot of hydraulic oil (80 grade) that he did not know what to do with. As he changes the oil he just puts it aside and it's been building up.

I know 80 grade is mighty thick, but I was wondering if I could "thin it down" with diesel or kero (or the like) to make it suitable to run in my car.
What do you think?

I don't suppose it would not need filtering?

Your thoughts would be appreciated.
