Took the thing to the tranny shop Monday, and it should probably be done Friday... I guess they're waiting for a couple parts yet. Most of the expense is in labor; FWD trannies don't like to be pulled... thus it takes a long time to pull it and put it back in. I suppose you could prolly gut it and put the new stuff in in a matter of an hour or so. Who knows. Thing of it is, it didn't just up and quit on me. It was still drivable when I took it in, but if I drove it for a longer period of time, the tranny started humming. They told me it was due to a clogged filter... clogged from gear, clutch, and band pieces
Oh well. Should be good as new when I get it back.
