Max Power

Whats the max wattage you could/should pull with a 4 gauge wire? I should know this but i don't...i jsut know it starts at like 800 watts so im assuming that its max is around 2000.

Whatever the biggest power/ground wire gauge the amp accepts, use that, you cant mess it up. Dont try and use 4 gauge wire to an amp that accepts 0ga power/ground wire. Worst that would happen is (if you used an inline fuse) the fuse will blow, but still you wasted your money on buying a 4ga amp kit.

As a rule of thumb I'd use either 12ga or 14ga speaker wire to my subs and either 14ga/16ga (Sometimes can get by with 18ga to aftermarket speakers) to components/coax.
