Question i have an idea

what if i buy a tegg with so many miles for really cheap like the 97 model and then swap engines for a new vtech? i can get them from hmotorsonline.com and i know a mate that can swap it for me for free.

that way wont i have a nice running 1997 with new vtech with only 33,000 on the engine? or will i have other problems with the car as well that would need changed while the car would have (lets say) 199,000 miles.

well, you would have a 97 with a decent engine, thats for sure.

but what about everything else? suspension, axles, tranny, undercarriage?...

i'd imagine you'd still probably come out ahead even if you do replace some of the other older parts. Then you'd have a 97 with a decent engine, and new parts

did it on a 92 sundance, from an engine with 250000k to an engine with 75000k. Didn't help much, the gasket blew again , but it was more worth the 100$ to repair the gasket on the much newer engine...

People do that all the time. Ive seen people take old crxs and swap engines into them. Suspenion-wise all the integras suck anyway and you should upgrade it along with brakes, lightweight wheels, etc. Remember, however, there is no way to erase the mileage on the body of the original car.
