Sub Amps - thunderbird this is for you!

Alright, so I have a Rockford Fosgate Punch Stage 3 12" Dual 4 that I'm selling - found a buyer, but he doesn't know much about car audio, so he wants me to look for an amp for him. Now, normally I would go with Kicker or Rockford, but those seem to be a little pricy for him...

So here's my question - I need to find a reliable amp, that has a 4Ohm stable load of at least 400W RMS(power hungry sub takes 500RMS, 1000 Peak) that doesn't cost to much. Now, I am not even going to touch Sony, so don't give me that answer.

Thunderbird - any ideas?

Actually, I have an idea if you dont mind. How about a Pioneer TS-W256DVC? Theyre well priced, and they sound great. Not overly distorted like those shitty Audiobahns. My cousins use those exact Pioneer subs and they sound great! $83 at onlinecarstereo.com!

I started a thread yesterday in the General Chat section about my Pioneer GS-G201 stereo having a bit of a fuzzy sound from one of the speaker cabs. His father has the exact same stereo as I do. Go look it up. Youll see what Im talking about.

how about we completely ignore the question and suggest a different sub? alright! SOUNDS GREAT!

jebus save us. I asked about an AMPLIFIER FOR A SUB I ALREADY HAVE, NOT A SUB FOR AMP. did you COMPLETELY ignore the question or are you just that stupid? It's even funnier, because I didn't even talk about looking for subs, much less Audiobahn subs. I am selling a ROCKFORD FOSGATE sub.

Read, think, reply, submit. It isn't that hard.

I was looking at them, but didn't find one that suited my needs...

350, 450, 500 - the 350 is a decent price, but the 450/500 amps are a little rich for him..
