High octane gas!

The last couple threads I started have really gotten people fired up, so I decided to post one everyone could just offer advice on.

I recently found a Gas station in my area that serves 101 octane "racing gas", I put it in my little peice'o'crap CRX and can really feel the difference. And at 4 bucks a gallon I better feel it. But then I realized my car was heating up a lot faster then it used to. Not unexpected, but since I overheat a lot anyway this concerned me a little. I also know that excess heat means damage to the engine.

Am I gonna hurt my poor little car if I keep up with this high octane gas?

Do you feel the difference when revving high or or just casual type driving?

It starts to pull a little bit more at 3 and a half to 4 grand, but I can really feel it in high gear at the top end. Above sixty when I floor it it actually accelerates pretty nice. It used to take forever to get going after the first two gears, mainly because my last gear lasts from 60 to 115 (the fastest ive ever taken it) and being such a long gear it takes forever to get up to about a hundred. But now I can actually feel it pulling. I used to just watch the speedo get faster but now I can feel the car getting up to speed.

My car is still rather slow and I know that 115 isn't screaming fast but thats faster then it was rated at. I would probably run an 18 or 18.5 in the QM (I know thats slow, stop laughing! ) but for a SOHC 12V Carb pushing 76 horsepower and 84 torque... Thats fricking fast!
