The veyron an every day car? In order to be able to even make 1001 hp it would have to consume over a gallon of fuel per minute. Even if you had the money for that, which I am sure veyron owners do, it's just a complete hassle. Anyone know how big the fuel tank capacity is on a veyron?

EPA city driving: 7 mpg U.S. (34 L/100 km)
EPA highway driving: 10 mpg U.S. (24 L/100 km)
Steady 253 mph (409 km/h): 2.1 mpg U.S. (112 L/100 km)

this was taken off http://www.forbesautos.com/reviews/2...4/preview.html..................
In addition to being the fastest car on the road, the Veyron 16.4 is said to be one of the least fuel efficient, with combined city/highway mileage generously estimated at 10 mpg. The Veyron 16.4 reportedly gets around only two mpg at full throttle, which would drain its 26.4-gallon fuel tank in about 13 minutes.

If only engines were more efficient at burning fuel...we could have cars twice as powerful as the veyron be every day cars. There's so much power in even a couple drops of gasoline but most of it is just lost. Some day technology will come through.

Actually he is right. I read it on www.howstuffworks.com (the site I use to educate me about cars, engines, etc. so I can be a more useful member)

If you read the article about the bugatti veyron, it says 75% of the power is lost through heat in the wheels. That's also where I got my info I posted.

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/bugatti.htm

It's a wonderful site and I am learning a lot about cars from it. I really recommend if you are looking to learn how cars work, how engines work, even what a horsepower is. And it's not just cars, you can learn about ANYTHING.

I used to waste my time online and use crap like chat forums and stupid ass to games, but now I just want to use the greatest resource in the world to my benefit.

Anyways no more rambling. Just I strongly recommend you use that site. Even you know-it-alls could learn a thing or two...maybe :p

Oh there are also great articles on ferrai enzo, ariel atom, lotus elise, and more.
