Talking Rims

Is there somewhere online where I can buy rims similar to the ones on the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren?

The "rim" is the outer part of the wheel. The whole wheel includes the spokes, hub, mounting surface, etc.

This is a whole wheel:

Very few aftermarket wheels are made of magnesium these days. But they can be found.

Maglites, Dymags, and a few others are all that's left. Most are forged or cast aluminum.

Magneseim is porous, and brittle, maing pure mag wheels unsuitable for long term street use. They have to be magnesium aloys, with other metals mixed in.

But yeah, I was pulling a hobo about the use of the slang term "rim."
