so that means, when i buy this car, i could put it under my name, just not register it? so taht means that i wouldnt have to make my mom sign for it and i could just buy it myself... oui je parle francais mais j'hais les francais! je parle aussi l'italien et l'espagnole! et l'anglais.

but as for buying the car.. what is the process.. i mean i cant just go hand him 450$ and take the car home.. what do i have to do? what paperwork is there?

Why not? My dad's done it many times before... actually the car we have now (had for almost a year.. not on the road yet of course) he bought and still hasn't registered it in his name (therefore, no paper work), worry about it when you put it on the road.

he signs the registration papers to say he sold it to you. thats it. rest of the paperwork is done when you go to register it under your name.

If you don't go through the paperwork then you wouldn't legally own it. (Am I right?)

he'll have them...it will be his latest registration, saying that he's signing the car over to you.

ok man thanks... now my other problem is where to put this car i guess i have 2 options... plate it and insure it under my moms name or garage it.. what would be the cheapest and smartest solution? my moms 46 and shes go a good record so wouldnt the iunsurance be cheap on 92 golf thats worth less than 1g?
