In a company that large it's difficult to run lean. I worked at a much, much smaller company a while ago, we cut out an entire level of management and it had no effect on the functionality of the company. Now just imagine if the company is 100X that size. There's a lot of people on payroll that don't honestly need to be there.

America IMO will have Luxury, SUV and Truck scene covered. Honda Ridgeline IMO is nowhere close to the Silverado's, and the 4-Runner isnt as great as the Tahoe.

Um, the 4Runner and the Tahoe, aren't in the same class. Sure, they're both trucks, but your comparing 2 different kinds of trucks. It's like comparing a Dodge Neon to a Honda Accord. Sure, they're both cars, but they're not in the same class. A better anology would have been a Chevrolet Blazer and the 4Runner. Or your "King of trucks" Tahoe with a Toyota Landcruiser. And in both cases, I'd still take the Toyota

Um, no. Trucks have open beds and can actually carry something without getting the leather dirty. Otherwise you are correct.

I have three letters and two names for you.
BMW
Mercedes-Benz
Name an American Luxury car company or car for that matter that out sells one of these companies, and is coveted by all people with a taste for the finer things in life????
Those German's will always kick our asses in the luxury department.

Like it or not, Cadillac sells more cars than both BMW and Mercedes in this country combined. More importantly, coveting a car is a matter of taste. That makes your statement an opinion and therefore incorrect.

Really, I was aware that Cadillac sold more cars in the $35,000-$45,000 range than BMW or MB. But the $45,000 and up range, I don't see Cadillac stomping BMW or Mercedes.
Oh yeah, what about globally???

Cadillac isn't really isn't in the global market like the other two. Besides, globally BMW and Mercedes sell more taxi cabs than luxury cars. You're doing the same thing you called newyorker on earlier, comparing apples and oranges.
