93 Grand Prix dies

My son's 3.4 V6 in the 93 GP SE - starts great when cold- runs for 2-4 minutes and dies - New fuel filter- first- didn't change-
So..... 1st thing I checked spark at the plug- Yep ! - started it for 2-4 minutes - It died- Checked spark at the same plug-- None....
After checking the book - I am guessing Ign module ? The book doesn't really show how it is best to remove this on these 3.4 engines.
Any help or corrections on my assumptions will be appreciated.
