Trans Am WS6 hard shift

So I have a 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 with the LS1 V8 and the 6sp manual transmission.

Now the problem only happens when the car is cold (IE, the first 3-4 minutes it's running). When it warms up close to opperating temp, it's just fine.

When I'm trying to shift gears, it's hard to get it actually into the gear, like it's binding on something. I have no idea what's going on with this thing. Any ideas?

Anyone? This is pissin me off. I really wanna get this fixed.

Has the trans fluid been changed recently? Did they use the proper type of fluid? Synthetic only .
