What about the el camino? Every time i see one, somebody cracks a joke, but i've seen a 10 sec el camino with a rust hole the size of a basketball on bolth doors. I dont think its the 'most' underrated, but the car has great potential.

I'll agree with the Corolla. Actually, Hyundai Elantras aren't too bad either.

yeah, i'd pick a Corolla over a new Civic, a Focus, Cobalt, maybe a Mazda 3, but not the new 2007 Sentra. The new Sentra really sets a high standard among compact cars. For $20,000 you get leather seats, a CVT tranny, keyless ignition, premium sound system, driver info center, and more. Talk about value.

Basically any K20 powered car. Guys over at vtec.net drove a 288 hub horsepower (232 hub torque) N/A RSX-S that was fully streetable and still had stock cams. That engine can produce some mad power N/A (horsepower AND torque)

A very underrated car is the Miata as well. Many people just pass it off as a girls car...but in fact is a legend of a sports car.

Talk about a bore to drive, just like it's bigger brother the Camry
