stuffed my golf

ok help ! I'm trying to work out if it's worth saving my golf driver, 1985 model and just recently I discovered the joys of off roading (whilst avoding a cat) I managed to bump up a kerb and glance off a lamp post Wing, drivers door and rear qtr panel are stuffed - but more importantly the front d/s strut / hub / drive shaft are knackered - and it looks like something underneath hit the kerb (not sure what, but it's on a bracket near the camm belt).

basically what sort of body work repairs can you do at home ? the door is badly misaligned and it's even dented the floor pan by the drivers door

Is it worth saving....

oh the cat is fine btw
