Doesnt sound too bad. I myself like the early 70's model alittle better but really dont mind the late 80's ones. As i said before, i dont think any vehicle is 'too big' for a young driver. Its pretty cool (sucks for you tho) that you'd be paying it all yourself.

Best way to have them, raised up which is where most trucks belong. We only get like 4 or 5 months that we have grass so i dont even think its possible to make 5 grand a year here

For my 16th birthday I got a 76 Mustang. Two months later I smashed it. My Dad sold it for 100 bucks. Then, I inherited the family car, a 82 Escort. I drove that a few years until I blew the motor in college. The car was replaced with a 88 Escort and I blew that motor...years later...I'm on my 7th
Escort - '99 ZX2. I'm currently swapping out the automatic transmission for a stick shift.

On the 82, we cracked the cylinder head and didn't think it was worth replacing it for the third time. The engine overheated. On the 88, I think I threw a rod or the motor seized. I don't know. I've never sold a car to another person or did a trade-in. Basically, when I am done with a car, it's dead and gets sent to the scrap heap. I eventually learned to take of motors and don't have any problems anymore. Now, I kill automatic transmissions. haha.
