not trying to stir up anything,

i saw an old car and driver magazine in the libary yesterday
and on the front cover was zalights exact car

obviously bone stock,

0-60 was 6.0 seconds on the dot and i think the quarter mile time was

13.6, the mods that are done to zalights car should be enough to get somewhere around 13.2 or 3

might help a little

Car & Driver doesn't run the cars at sea level...therefore they use the b/s calculator which is usually quite inaccurate. Plus they drive like morons.

If it's the same 13.6 I am seeing in C/D, it's not of the E36 (240hp)...but rather an E46 M3 (333hp)...and it posted a 13.6. I think you have the two mixed up.

I noticed they tested an E46 M3 (like in 04/05) to get that 13.6. But they also pulled a 13.1 when they tested another E46 in 2001. They tested it again at the end of their long term test and pulled a 13.4.
http://www.caranddriver.com/features/4227/bmw-m3.html

They also pulled a 13.6/13.4 with a E46 M3 here...
http://www.caranddriver.com/shortroa...smg-page2.html

Here they got a 13.5 with a E46 M3...
http://www.caranddriver.com/previews/3124/bmw-m3.html

I can't go any farther back on their webpage as far as years. But that's what I got for E46 numbers. 13.1-13.6.

Mind you, this is NOT his E36 240hp M3...this is the newer E46 333hp M3.

They correct their times for sea level/optimal conditions.

Yes, that's what I said, but their corrected times aren't completely accurate. It's not uncommon for their corrected times to be off by a few tenths.

So, after filling a thread with calling each other names, pointing fingers, making false accusations and using dubious information, you've come back to what I said 50 some posts ago;

I had that conclusion way before this thread ever came up.

Just saying the obvious. Anyone with half a brain knows...

REAL TIME > CALCULATED TIME

Even only required 2nd grade math.
