Angry 1991 plymouth acclaim repair job

hi i own a 1991 plymouth acclaim v-6 recently i expierenced a shuddering sensation and a noise that sounded like a flat tire i was told by many friends it was the cv joint me and my dad are right now as i'm typing in the process of trying to repair it. we can see that the cv joint is indeed need of replacement it's the left driver side one by the way, however we have the tire off the rotor and brake caliper off and we have unfastned the stabilizer bar from the lower controll arm we are using the haynes manual and well....simply to say it's very confusing going back and forth to each section we are not sure how to get the cv joint out from it's mount in the ball joint thingy sorry not really sure what it's called V__V anyway any help anyone can offer would be a big help as we are stuck and i dont want to pay 300 dollars to get it fixed i'm a college student with a daughter which means.....no money...lmao...anywho please help if you can.
